What is a USB Crypto Token?
A USB Crypto Token is a hardware-based security device used for the secure storage of your Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) private keys. Unlike software-based storage, it provides tamper-resistant, encrypted protection that keeps your certificate safe from unauthorized access, malware and physical attacks.

Why it's required: Under CCA guidelines, your DSC must be stored on a FIPS-certified hardware token. Software-based storage is not permitted for Class 3 DSCs.
