USB Token Format Tools for DSC
Sometimes you may need to format or initialize your USB DSC token before loading a new certificate. This is often required when the token has been used previously, or when you encounter errors during certificate installation. Formatting erases all existing data on the token, allowing you to start fresh with a new certificate and PIN.
- Download and install the Initialize Tool
- Open the Initialize Tool on your computer
- Click the "Initialize" or "Format" button
- Confirm — all existing data will be permanently deleted
- Set a new PIN for the token to complete initialization
- Double-click the WD PROXKey icon on your desktop
- Press Ctrl + Alt + W to reveal the Admin option
- Click + next to Admin, then select Initialize Token
- Click Initialization to confirm — do not unplug the token
- Press OK to erase all previous certificates and continue
- Unlocked token PIN will be 123456
- Open Software
- Click on Admin
- PIN will be 123456
- Click On Zeroize Key
- Click Initialization to confirm. Do not unplug the token
- All previous certificates will be erased. Press OK to continue
- Unlocked token PIN will be 123456
Note: Precision tool is hosted on the manufacturer's server, so it will download with its own filename.
